Getting There
Venue
The McCusker theatre in the Harry Perkins Institute is a new state of the art research and education building located on the campus of Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital which is part of the Queen Elizabeth II Medical Centre. Visit http://www.perkins.org.au for more information.
Taxi/Uber
Ask your driver to drop you off at the Harry Perkins institute (marked in green on the map below) which is just behind the Lions Eye Institute on the QEII Medical centre campus.
Bus
Many buses leave from the city which stop on hospital avenue at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital. The Harry Perkins Institute is a short walk through the hospital campus.
Parking
Enter QEII Campus off Monash Avenue:
Drive along until you reach the roundabout on the corner of Monash Avenue and Hampden Road. Enter the QEII Medical Centre campus and you will see the tall black Perkins Institute building further down the road in front of you. Keep travelling north along Caladenia Cres, there are a few bays on this road located on your left. Alternatively, travel further on to the left hand bend, you can park in the angle parking at Visitor Car Park 3A. If this area is full, follow the road around and there is parking on either side of this road. All parking costs $3.30 per hour, the machine accepts coins or credit card.
Parking is paid even on the weekends and you will be fined if you don’t have a ticket displayed on your car. Off site parking is available but you will need to check the signage carefully.
Perth Airport
Perth airport is approximately 17km/25 minutes from the venue.
Accommodation
There are many accommodation options a short distance away from the venue. The Perth CBD is approximately 5km away.
