Registration Terms & Conditions

Australian Institute of Optometry Pty Ltd (Organiser), expressly disclaim liability for acts or omissions of the Organiser and for third parties including contractors, facilities suppliers, exhibitors and presenters in conjunction with the Optomax Conference, or for the safety of any attendee while in transit to or from this event.

The Organiser shall not be liable for any delays or failure in performance or interruption of services resulting directly or indirectly from any cause or circumstance beyond the reasonable control of the Organiser including but not limited to, acts of God, war, terrorism, failure of transportation, weather, accidents, fires, electrical failures, strikes, labor disputes, postal delays, explosions, and government orders or regulations.

The Organiser reserves the right to cancel this event without liability. Attendees who purchased nonrefundable airline tickets do so at their own risk. The total amount of any and all liability of the Organiser will be limited to a refund of the attendance fee.

The Organiser expressly disclaims any liability arising out of an attendee’s consumption of alcoholic beverages in conjunction with the event.

You agree not to allow any other individual to participate in your place either at the conference, during the registration process, or any other conference-related activity including acceptance of these terms of registration.

Attendees/exhibitors/presenters at the Optomax Conference agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Organiser, its officers, directors and agents, against all claims arising out of actions or omissions of any attendee/ exhibitor/ presenter at or in connection with the event except for the Organiser’s own gross negligence or willful misconduct.

The Organiser reserves the right to substitute any speaker or presenter in case of an emergency or cancellation. The Organiser has no duty of due diligence with respect to speakers or presenters, exhibitors, or sponsors, and make no endorsements of any presentation or product. The views, opinions, and presentations of speakers and exhibitors at the Optomax Conference may not reflect those of the Organiser.

Cancellations

If received >14 days prior to the conference a full refund less $50 administration fee is applicable. After that date no refund is available.
